Crews Dispatched to Recycling Fire in Janesville

Fire crews were on the scene after a commercial fire box alarm sounded in Janesville Tuesday afternoon. The alarm at Janesville Recycling at 340 Blackbridge Road went off at 3:33 p.m. Crews from nine different departments have been cycling through. An internal sprinkler system at the center was able to contain the fire to two large piles of cardboard. The fire has been difficult to fight, however because it started deep within those piles and it’s difficult for crews to get to the source.
