Shopko Closing Nearly 140 More Stores

The retail chain Shopko is closing more stores as it works to come back from a bankruptcy declaration.  The Ashwaubenon-based company announced it is closing another 139 stores this week.  Two-thirds of its retail locations will have been closed when the process is complete.  Shopko filed for bankruptcy protection last month, pointing to growing debt and an increasingly competitive marketplace. It is trying to attract a buyer.
