Multiple Crashes in Rock County; One Person Killed

A Janesville man was killed in a two-vehicle crash in Rock County on Monday morning. Crews responded to a report of a crash on S. County Highway G just north of E. Sunny Lane in the Town of Rock round 8:15 a.m. An investigation shows a truck driven by a 62-year-old Beloit man was traveling north on S. County Highway G when the driver lost control of the truck on the slippery roads as it crossed a bridge. The truck slid into the southbound lane and struck a car being driven by a 53-year-old Janesville man nearly head on. The truck came to rest in the road blocking both lanes of traffic. The car came to rest in the northbound ditch facing northeast. The 53-year-old man was extricated from car and taken to a local hospital where he was later died. The 62-year-old man was taken to a local hospital. He’s in stable condition. Both drivers were wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash.
A car v. semi truck crash has created traffic delays along southbound I-39/90 at Highway 11 in Janesville Monday night. Wisconsin State Patrol said one person has been transported to the hospital.
