Rainbow Flag Flying Over Wisconsin State Capitol 1st Time for Pride Month

A rainbow flag will be flying over the Wisconsin State Capitol for the rest of June in recognition of L-G-B-T-Q Pride Month.  Governor Evers issued the executive order today (Friday) for the first time in state history.  Openly gay Senator Tim Carpenter of Milwaukee thanked the governor.  Carpenter said,” we are showing that we are a welcoming and inclusive state and that means a great deal.”  But some Wisconsin Republicans oppose move.  Representative Scott Allen of Waukesha tweeted that “It advocates a behavior or a lifestyle that some Wisconsin residents may not condone. Therefore it is divisive.”
