Janesville Motorcyclist Killed Because Of Crash

A Janesville man has died from a crash involving his motorcycle on HWY 14 that involved three vehicles. The crash happened just before 4:00PM Monday as a line of eastbound traffic was traveling on the west side of Janesville. A car turned off the highway, slowing traffic down. A Chevy Silverado driven by 36-year-old Gerald E. Field of Watertown failed to slow down and struck a Harley-Davidson driven by the 68-year old Janesville man, which pushed him into the back of a Honda Accord driven by 72-year-old Johanna E. Yoder of Crystal Lake, Illinois. The Janesville man was taken to the hospital who later died. According to a release, he was not wearing a helmet. Police think Field was falling asleep at the wheel and may be cited for inattentive driving.
