Brewers Tie Record with 5 Players on All-Star Game Roster

Most Valuable Player candidate Christian Yelich says he will be in the lineup tonight for the 2019 All-Star Game in Cleveland.

Despite a four-week stretch which saw the Milwaukee Brewers win fewer than 40 percent of their games, they still have a team-record five players on the National League team.  Yelich skipped Monday’s Home Run Derby with a stiff back, but he plans to play tonight (Tuesday) and lead off.

Josh Hader will miss the game — also with back issues — but he is being replaced by Brewers ace right-hander Brandon Woodruff.

The other Brewers at Progressive Field will be Yasmani Grandal and Mike Moustakas.
