Brewers Survive Atlanta Rally, Win 5-4

Josh Hader struck out Atlanta’s Ozzie Albies with the tying run on third base in the ninth inning, protecting the Brewers’ 5-4 win Wednesday afternoon.

Homers by Manny Pina and Christian Yelich had given Milwaukee a five-run lead entering the eighth inning.  Rookie second baseman Keston Hiura was eight-for-11 in the series as the Brewers took two-out-of-three from a good Braves team.

Brewers starter Chase Anderson (5-2) gave up only one hit, a double to Brian McCann in the second inning, in 5 2/3 innings. He walked three and struck out three.

Zach Davies takes the mound against the Arizona Diamondbacks tonight in Phoenix. We’ll have live coverage on 940 WFAW beginning at 8:05 PM.
