Brewers Make up Ground on Cubs, Taking 3-of-4 at Miller Park

Tyler Austin’s pinch-hit home run with two on was the big blast in a five-run fourth inning against the Cubs Sunday afternoon.  Brent Suter earned the win in relief when the Brewers held on, 8-5. 

Milwaukee is two games behind the Cubs after beating their division rivals five times in the last six meetings. 

Eric Thames launched his 21st homer for the Brewers.

Milwaukee trails Arizona by a half-game for the last N-L wild card position. The Cardinals are 4 1/2 games ahead of Chicago for the NL Central lead, with three weeks left.
