Fort Atkinson Community Foundation Scholarships


Applications are now being accepted for the Jason Dahnert Memorial Scholarship. This award is available to Fort Atkinson area students who would like to study any engineering discipline, including architecture. The scholarship honors Jason Dahnert who died suddenly in June of 1997. For application information go to www.fortfoundation.org or call 920-563-3210.
 

Applications are now being accepted for the Ardell Wiederhoeft Legacy Scholarship administered by the Fort Atkinson Community Foundation. This is a $1000 scholarship for graduates of Fort Atkinson High School who wish to peruse education leading to a career in business, mathematics or business education. For more information call 920-563-3210.


Applications are now being accepted for the Ben and Ada hake Agricultural Scholarship by the Fort Atkinson Community Foundation. $5000 is available in 2012 for one or more awards to Fort Atkinson High School Seniors or Fort graduates pursuing a degree in agriculture. Applications are due February 15 for applications information call 920-563-3210.


Applications are now being accepted for the Juanita Schreiner memorial Scholarship by the Fort Atkinson Community Foundation. This degree is for graduates of Fort Atkinson High School pursuing a degree in voice, organ, nursing, or medicine. $17,000 is available to one or more students in 2012. Applications are due February 13th and can be found at www.fortfoundation.org
 
 
Applications are now being accepted for the Jerome Hake Engineering Scholarship. This scholarship is available to students graduating from Fort Atkinson High School studying any discipline of engineering. There is $4000 available in 2012 for one or more scholarships. Applications are due February 15 for applications information call 920-563-3210.

Moms on a Mission Exchange


Moms on a Mission Exchange known as “MOME” turns 1 year old in February. This month’s clothing exchange and giveaway will be held February 11 from 4 to 7pm at the Milton United Methodist Church, 241 Northside Drive in Milton. For more information call 608-302-7117.

Spaghetti Dinner and Silent Auction in Eagle


There will be a spaghetti dinner and silent auction Saturday, February 18 from 4:30 to 7:30 at the St. Theresa Parish Hall in Eagle. Dinner will be homemade spaghetti and meatballs and cost $8 for adults, $7 for seniors and $5.50 for kids.

29th Annual Wisconsin Coin Expos LLC Coin Show


The Wisconsin Coin Expos is hosting their 29th annual convention and coin show on February 19 at the Oshkosh Convention Center. The show is open to the public from 9 to 5 and there is no admission fee. There will be coins to buy, sell or trade; you can also receive free appraisals. 

17th Annual Fort Showcase


Enjoy two days full of high powered music and dance as Fort Atkinson High School Music Department presents its 17th Annual Fort Showcase, February 10 and 11th.   The showcase begins on Friday evening with the middle and high school show choir performances. On Saturday top high school show choirs will be performing. Call 563-7811 ext. 1118 for more information. 

United Way of North Rock County Annual Meeting


The United Way of North Rock County will hold its 68th annual meeting Thursday, February 16th at Kandu Industries, 1741 Adel Street in Janesville. Registration and a soup and sandwich buffet will begin at 11:45. The event is open to the public and costs $14 per person. To register call 608-757-3040 ext 232.

Bowhunter Safety in Cambridge

The Watertown Rotary Club’s Annual Brunch will be at the Watertown Country Club on Sunday, February 12 from 9am to 1pm. The cost is $10 for adults, $5 for kids, 3 and under are free.

VFW Breakfast in Jefferson


There will be an all you can eat breakfast on Sunday, February 12th from 8:30 to noon at the VFW on Main Street in Jefferson. Tickets are $6 in advance $7 at the door, kids 5 and under are free. 

St. Andrew's School Children's Clothing Sale


St. Andrew’s School will be holding a children’s clothing sale and they need volunteers. Call Hollie at 262-749-0585 if you want to help. There will also be a seller sign up on February 10 and 11th at the school. Anyone can buy or sell like new items. The day of the sale will be March 10th and 11th.

Cambridge Economic Development Plan


Come to the Amundson Center in Cambridge Thursday February 9th to voice your opinion on the new Economic Development Plan. There will be a light supper at 5:45, presentations and conversations are at 6. 

Lake Mills Rotary Club Scholarship Brunch


The Rotary Club in Lake Mills is having its annual Scholarship Brunch at Lake Mills High School on February 12 from 7 am to 12 pm. Tickets for adults are $8, children $3, 6 and under free. 

Spirit of the Lakes Chorus Seeks Members

2012 Beloit International Film Festival
