Heavy rain and straight-line winds of 60 mph downed trees and powerlines, causing power outages throughout theJanesville. Winds tipped a semitrailer truck at County A and Emerald Grove Road in Rock County.

Winds also tore the roof off a barn at Highway 14 and Scharine Road. The first round of storms hit Janesville at 6:46 p.m. A second wave of storms rolled through the area at about 10:15 p.m. An Alliant Energy online map showed Janesville had six power outages, affecting hundreds of people. Due a power outage there is no school in the Whitewater school district today
