The Milwaukee Brewers and the rest of Major League Baseball will return to action with an abbreviated spring training next month, then start a 60-game season July 24.
The players’ union had rejected the latest offer from the owners Monday by a 33-to-five vote. That’s when Baseball Commissioner Rob Manfred stepped in and issued a unilateral order for the regular season to start.
To avoid the Arizona July heat, the Milwaukee Brewers will hold their spring training at Miller Park. USA Today is reporting every team but Toronto will likely use their own home park for training.
