Lucas Giolito out-dueled Milwaukee Brewers ace Brandon Woodruff in a 3-2 decision at Miller Park Tuesday night. White Sox first baseman Jose Abreu singled in the game-winning run in the seventh inning.
Both Giolito and Woodruff pitched six innings and allowed two runs.
The victory runs Chicago’s winning streak to six games in-a-row.
Ben Gamel slammed his second home run for the Brewers. An error by shortstop Eric Sogard set up Abreau to knock in the deciding run for the second straight game in the series.
Brewers superstar Christian Yelich continued to struggle with the bat, going 0 for 3 with three strikeouts.
The series moves to Chicago for the next two games. We’ll have Brewers-Sox baseball for you on 940 WFAW this evening. Our coverage starts at 6:35 PM.
